A dramatic suspense filled book. It has a great romantic theme as well. Well written and thought out suspense. The story is told very well .

Brooke was with some friends when the boat her friends were on exploded. Both her friends we in critical condition or serious condition from the explosion.Brooke was also hurt when someone came to her boat and gave her something to knock her out.

Garrett was a police officer  on the case trying to find out exactly what happened. There was more to all this than met the eye. It was obvious someone had meant to hurt them all.

When talking to Brooke  with the main officers they found out that they had found a metal box with red human hair flowing out of the box.

Garrett was also trying to find his niece who had vanished two months before meeting Brooke.

While doing underwater diving to find the box again, and also attempted murder on both her friends and herself,Brooke and Garrett started falling in love.

Brooke had an artificial leg,but to Garrett it never mattered. But to Brooke it did in a way. She wanted independence and kept trying to say she needed no protection. Garrett of coarse  wanted to protect her.

When they found the box again the threat to Brooke and her friends became even more intense a the hunt for the threat became more intense when the box was brought up.

I very much recommend this book to all types of readers. No matter your genre preference you will enjoy this book.

This was such a great book.So well written and thought out! Gives such insight to War time from all involved from family, friends, and the  solders and the  nurses and doctors who served. How they dealt with being prisoners of war and what happened at home.

Virginia and Greg  served during the war in 1943. A time in our past that helped build a foundation  to the future. The Japanese  had captured Virginia and she was a prisoner along with her friends and killed her friends.Greg found Virginia in the jungles of Borneo after she has escaped being killed. After a rocky and slow start they fell slowly in love.

After a short time they were both captured again and separated and were told by the Japs that the other had been killed. Both grieved deeply and knew that no other would ever take the place of the one they loved.

After several years and some major interference they were once again together.

If you love reading about love, about war stories and how people dealt with their feelings during that time in their life ,you will love this book.

Exceptionally well written and thought out.

I loved the way this book was written and the theme! It kept my attention all the way from the first chapter . I was a romance but yet had drama and mystery to it. Mild adult scenes. I recommend you read this one!

Tessa have came home to recover eight years ago from an abusive marriage. She was still traumatized and feared men and love.

Lucas came home to find Tessa if he was lucky. He also had a bad marriage  which ended when his wife died. But he never got over Tessa.

When Lucas walked into her shop after 25 years Tessa started to feel again. Lucas gave her some things from the house he bought and in the boxes was a doll and a journal about the doll. Seems Tessa was now cursed until it was broken by true love.

Tessa’s husband got out of the prison he had been put in for his crimes against Tessa.

Between the curse and Tessa’s ex she was having nothing but bad luck and now after reading the journal she felt she and Lucas could not be together. Lucas was not having that. He had waited to long for her.

There is a lot of love and drama in this book. I especially liked the idea of love being regained.  If contemporary  romance is your favorite genre you need to read this book ! I so enjoyed it.
